- Free initial interview.
- 2 prenatal visits where we discuss how you would like your labor to go and any relaxation methods that you would like implemented. Some expectant parents like to discuss their birth wishes then.
- Phone and email support.
- On call two weeks before estimated due date. I also have a back-up doula in place in case I am unavailable because of an emergency.
- Labor and delivery support from the moment you feel that you may need me. I can come to your home and help with laboring there or meet you at the hospital/birthing center.
- 2-3 hours postpartum care after labor to establish breastfeeding and transitioning into the new role of parent.
- A birth story, which is an account of your labor for you to share after the birth.
- 1 Postpartum visit. The first visit occurs 3-5 days after the birth or can follow 2 weeks after the birth.
- 1 year of ongoing support as needed.
- Optional Belly Casting.
As a member of the DONA (Doulas of North America) I strongly agree and believe that "every effort should be made to ensure that all laboring women receive support, not only from those close to them but also from specially trained caregivers."
